The XCMG XE600G Pro is a 60-tonne class crawler excavator built around a single brief: move rock and overburden at a rate that keeps trucks cycling. Its published configuration points to that job — a 343 kW engine, a 3.2 m³ standard bucket, a reinforced mining undercarriage and a hydraulic package sized for a 205 mm breaker.

Buyers comparing machines in this class need the numbers in one place, plus an understanding of which numbers change with configuration. The figures below are published standard-configuration values; bucket, boom, arm, track shoe and emission build alter the final specification, and the data plate on a specific unit always takes precedence.

The core specification

ItemPublished figure
Operating weight54,500 kg
Standard bucket3.2 m³ (3.2–3.8 m³ options)
EngineCummins X12, 11.8 L
Rated power343 kW at 2,100 rpm
Bucket digging force330 kN
Max digging depth7,560 mm
Max digging reach11,622 mm
Max dump height7,130 mm
Fuel tank690 L
Hydraulic oil tank430 L
Track shoe width600 / 700 mm
Breaker match205 mm

Three of these numbers decide most of the productivity argument. Operating weight at 54,500 kg gives the machine the counterweight and track footprint to stay planted while swinging a loaded 3.2 m³ bucket. Rated power of 343 kW provides the reserve to run the hydraulic pumps at full demand without pulling the engine down. Bucket digging force of 330 kN is what the machine can put through the teeth when the bucket rolls into a rock face.

Power delivery and fuel strategy

The XE600G Pro uses a Cummins X12 displacing 11.8 litres. XCMG specifies the engine for low-speed, high-torque output, which matters in two situations: high-altitude sites where naturally aspirated or smaller-displacement engines lose margin, and sustained truck-loading cycles where the operator works near full hydraulic demand for hours.

The machine’s PIC control system coordinates engine output with hydraulic demand rather than treating them as separate systems. The practical result is that pump flow is matched to the load instead of being spilled across a relief valve, which is where a large part of fuel waste in this class comes from.

Maintenance access is part of the same calculation. The fuel filtration system runs three stages, and the pre-filter and air filter were enlarged to reduce intake restriction by 25% and raise dust-holding capacity by more than 40%. XCMG states this can double the service interval on those filters. On a mine site running two shifts, filter changes are a scheduled cost and a downtime item, so the interval matters as much as the headline power figure.

Hydraulics and attachment coverage

The hydraulic system was revised for the Pro specification, with swing motor torque increased by 15%. Swing torque is easy to overlook in a spec sheet, but it governs how quickly a loaded machine reverses at the truck and how confidently it works on a slope or a soft bench.

The 205 mm breaker match is the other figure worth noting. A 60-tonne carrier that can run a 205 class breaker covers two jobs on the same undercarriage: bucket loading in soil and broken rock, and hammer work where the face needs reduction before it can be dug. That reduces the number of machines a contractor has to mobilize for a mixed rock site.

Undercarriage and structure

The XE600G Pro uses a 228-pitch mining undercarriage with heavy-duty rollers, idlers and track groups. XCMG quotes a wear-life improvement of up to 35% for this arrangement compared with a standard undercarriage. The lower frame is a one-piece welded design, which raises overall stiffness and simplifies disassembly for transport.

Track shoe width is offered at 600 mm and 700 mm. The narrower shoe suits firmer benches and lower ground pressure on haul roads; the wider shoe is the usual choice where the floor is soft or the machine works in wet conditions. The choice affects ground pressure, flotation and transport width, so it should be fixed before the machine is built or shipped, not after.

Cab and operator station

The cab is a sealed, pressurized structure with an 8-inch touchscreen display, one-key start, automatic climate control and an air-suspension seat. A 140-degree rear camera covers the counterweight blind spot, and LED work lights are standard. An emergency stop switch is fitted within reach of the operator position.

These are not cosmetic details on a 60-tonne machine. Operators spend ten to twelve hours per shift in the seat, and fatigue shows up in cycle time, fuel burn and damage to the machine. A stable climate system, a seat that absorbs shock and a camera that removes the rear blind spot all translate into fewer costly incidents around the truck and the stockpile.

What to confirm before pricing

Two machines with the same model name can carry different specifications. Before a quote is meaningful, the following need to be fixed: bucket size and tooth configuration, boom and arm lengths, track shoe width, emission build for the destination market, breaker or quick-coupler provision, and whether the unit is new or used.

On used units, the specification matters less than condition. Undercarriage wear, hydraulic pump pressure against OEM specification, cylinder and hose condition, structural cracks and repaired welds, hour-meter verification and service history all change the value of the machine far more than a spec sheet does.

Contact Us for a Quote

SHUNFA Machinery has exported construction equipment from China for 35 years, with units inspected before shipment and delivered to more than 100 countries. For the XE600G Pro, our team confirms the exact configuration available, the current condition, the inspection report and the delivered price for the destination port.

Every unit passes a six-stage inspection covering identity and service history, engine and drivetrain, hydraulics, undercarriage and structure, function and load testing, and documents. Clients receive an inspection report with 40 to 60 photos and a walkaround video before any deposit is paid. SGS third-party inspection, CE and EPA documentation, shipping and customs paperwork are handled as part of the same process.

To receive a quote, send the working conditions, the attachment and bucket requirement, the track shoe preference and the destination port. Our team replies with a configuration-matched quotation within 24 hours.
